ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

My interest in nature photography was first stirred by a trip to Southern Africa and then awakened when I attended a seminar by bird photographer Art Morris. Wow! I was so impressed with his slideshow of beautiful birds!

During his presentation, he talked about the wildlife photography of "Nikon Legend" Moose Peterson who had transitioned his photography to the digital world using Nikon’s D1 series of cameras. That was a happy and fortunate circumstance as I had a long and varied career in the computer industry. Going "Digital" was a natural, and several months later, after a photo safari with Moose to Alaska, I was hooked!

Those first images weren’t very good but after many more safaris, and many more hours behind the camera, I’ve managed to capture more than 50,000 images! Some of them are displayed in this site.

(Check out my article Unintended Journey
for a humorous and more detailed look at the process involved in becoming a wildlife photographer.)

When browsing the site, I hope you’ll get pleasure in seeing what I saw as I depressed the shutter of my camera, and that you will come away with a better sense of this amazing world we live in … I know I sure did!

Call or write if you have any questions...

Adam
